The Environmental Learning Center at Colorado State University is a 212-acre facility located along the Cache la Poudre River in Fort Collins. Last year the ELC provided nearly 200 educational programs to 4,000 individuals from scout troops, school classrooms, college organizations and other groups in northern Colorado. In additional 18,000 visit the ELC on their own time to walk the trails, view wildlife and enjoy nature. The ELC staff consists primarily of CSU students; their experience provides valuable professional development and prepares them to become leaders in the field of conservation and environmental education.
