TP the GP and Help Support Our Bottom Line!

The Gathering Place exists to provide a safe and welcoming daytime refuge for women and their children experiencing homelessness or poverty.  We offer everything from basic services such as meals and showers all the way up to resources for rebuilding lives such as housing stabilization assistance and GED tutoring.

But what is the most basic resource we offer?

Access to clean, safe and welcoming restrooms.  When you are experiencing homelessness, an act as simple as locating a safe and accessible restroom can be an extreme challenge.  For the more than 360 women and kids we serve everyday, knowing they can count on a safe bathroom break at TGP is one less thing to worry about.

Where do you come in?  Help us ensure that our bathrooms are clean, stocked, and ready to go!  It's not the most exciting thing to fund, but trust us when we say it is one of the most vital.  To maintain all the restrooms at TGP over the course of one year, it costs approximately $15,000.  That's $3,200 on toilet paper, $2,900 on paper towels, $160 on soap, and another $8,740 on janitorial services.

Make a 100% tax-deductible donation and help us TP the GP!  It may be the only time in your life you can TP a non-profit organization...and get thanked for it!

Why I Give

We as philanthropists know how much giving back means to us.  Our reasons for giving are varied but our common belief is that we wish to make our community a better place.  Along the path to building a better community many philanthropists find that we too have become better people.  We find that what was once an act of community investment becomes an investment in ourselves, and
