Odell Brewing Company Charity of the Month
Posted October 1st, 2008 by treeswaterpeopleTWP has been chosen as Odell Brewing Companies Charity of the Month! On October 16, ten percent of all sales will be donated to us, and throughout the month, we will receive all taster tray proceeds.
Odell’s Charity of the Month program allocates proceeds to non-profit organizations serving environmental, educational or humanitarian causes. The Tasting Room donation averages $1500 each month to the chosen charity.

All those who are actively participating in philanthropy on whatever level they can, because as Margaret Mead said: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

The seal is awarded to members of the ICA who meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. Of the 1 million charities operating in the United States, only five percent meet these expectations, and fewer than two thousand charities have been awarded the seal.

Trees, Water & People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1998 and is staffed by a group of dedicated conservationists who feel strongly about helping communities protect, conserve, and manage the natural resources upon which their long-term well-being depends. Our work is guided by two core beliefs:
(1) that natural resources are best protected when local people play an active role in their care and management; and
(2) preserving local trees, wetlands, and watersheds is essential for the ongoing social, economic, and environmental health of communities everywhere.
General Interests:
reforestation, watershed protection, renewable energy, appropriate technology, and environmental education
Our Programs:
*Forest Saving Stove Programs
-Created stoves with chimneys which helps to reduce health and economic problems, and reduces global warming and deforestation in South America.
*Reforestation Programs
-Created successful community reforestation projects in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.The program trains local entrepreneurs to grow and graft valuable fruit and forest trees and also provides micro-enterprise loans to start their own nurseries.
*Tribal Lands Renewable Energy Program
